— Ephesians 6:7
Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not people.
CHILDREN & YOUTH
We are pleased to welcome people of all ages in worship any and all the time.
There is always a time of children’s focus and in-pew activities related to the themes of the day. The front right side of the church has extra floor space, a toy box and drawing desk so children of all ages can easily be part of worship while having some space to move around.
Elementary-age children also have Sunday School during service on the first Sunday of each month (Oct 1, Nov 5, Dec 3 2017).
If you or someone you know is interested in becoming our Children & Youth Ministry Coordinator, a full job description can be found here
FOOTHILLS HOSPITAL SERVICES
Services are conducted at Foothills Hospital on a twice yearly basis. Anyone can attend and we enjoyed fellowship with several patients and their families. This year’s services will be on February 5, 2017 and August 6, 2017 at 2 pm and volunteers are welcome. Contact Susan Chivers.
OUT ON THE TOWN
Out on the Town is a dinner group that meets the fourth Tuesday of the month, excluding July, August and December. We pick a restaurant and enjoy a great evening of food and fellowship. We plan our dinners by email and are happy to have more people in the group. If you are interested, contact Ginny Betty to have you added to the group email list.
The prayer shawl ministry is a group of eight creative ladies who lovingly knit or crochet prayer shawls for friends, family, and member of the congregation. Shawls are made for those in need as well as baptismal candidates. To join this group please contact Hilda Cox or Pauline Booth.
The Outreach group works in a number of different areas such as the Calgary Drop in and Rehab Centre (The Lunch Bunch), Baby Food collection and the St. Edmund’s Foodbank. Volunteers are always welcome for any of these initiatives. Please contact Carole Thomson.
The members of the prayer chain offer up prayer for those who request it either for themselves or on behalf of others. If you feel that you can offer yourself for this ministry please contact Susan Chivers.
