Christmas Office Hours
The church office will be closed on Dec. 25/18 and Jan.1/19. We will be open on Dec. 27 from 9 am to 1 pm and on Jan. 3/19 from 9 am to 3 pm.
Driver(s) Wanted! We have a few parishioners living at Chartwell Colonel Belcher who need a ride to come to church. It is only a 5 minute drive from church and you need space for a walker. Please let Christine know if you are willing to help fill this pastoral need.
Finance Update
Thank you for all you give at St. Andrew’s! We value each and every contribution – spiritual and financial. At the end of November, our year-to-date deficit was just over $20,000, an improvement from October, though still higher than budgeted. We had some extra unplanned facility costs this year, including $775 for elevator control cable repairs and $940 for further roof repairs to fix leaks from last winter. Please consider if you can give a special year-end offering to further improve our financial standing. Additional offering envelopes are available in the narthex or use the “donate” button under the “giving back” tab on our website.
Parking!!
Foothills Village Condo Board has voted to allow us to park in their VISITOR parking on Sunday mornings until 1pm. They have also reopened the fence from their property to our alley! A big thanks to Patrick Carmichael, President of the Board for being such a good friend to St. Andrew’s! If you do receive a ticket, please let Christine know, so we can work out any kinks in the system.
Annual Reports for 2018 are DUE Tues. January 15 th ! Please submit the report for which you are responsible to Kate at standrw1@telus.net
Saying Farewell to Eyad & family
The time is approaching for our friends – Eyad, Fatan, Thyatra and Abdallah to move to Saskatchewan. Please join us on January 13th at 10:00am for the service and/or 11:30am for the luncheon at St. Edmund’s as we say Farewell! An RSVP is much appreciated (email@stedmundscalgary.org or 403-288-6331). If you would like to contribute to a gift for Eyad & family from St. Andrew’s, please indicate “Rector’s Discretionary—Eyad” on your offering.
2019 Offertory Envelopes are ready to be picked up in the narthex. A number of people will have a new envelope number in order to consolidate our list and to save paper and costs. If you still have old envelopes at home, please recycle them or write your new number on them if needed. We are using fewer envelopes as more people are using monthly automated donations. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me at 403-282-0074 or johnm9@telus.net. John MacKinnon
2018 Tax Receipts Please not that, to be eligible for a 2108 tax credit, donations must be received by December 31, 2018. They must be hand-delivered to the office or post-marked no later than December 31, 2018. Many thanks!

Did you know?
*Our roof is fixed! You may not have known that last winter we experienced some leaking due to heavy snow and ice damming above the office. The issue has been addressed and we’re ready for winter!
*Our budget is 63% for Personnel (Priest, Choir Director & Office Administrator); 11% for the building (utilities, maintenance) and 26% everything else. Talk to a member of Parish Council for more details!
Altar Guild
After many years of service as the Head of Altar Guild, Kathryn Tulk has now transitioned to Emeritus Altar Guild Coordinator. We are so grateful for her passionate and dedicated faithfulness to this ministry. Thanks also to Carole Thomson for taking on the role of coordinator.
