Peace and grace be with you all.
As you all know that Archbishop and test post give as a green light to re-opening the churches for in-person services. After consulting with our Wardens, we are to resume limited-capacity, in-person worship services beginning coming Sunday February 20th at 8:00 am and 10:30 am. Services will feel similar to the way they were prior to the most recent suspension in early January 9: Holy Communion will be in one kind (bread only) with a communion wafer; masking, sanitizing, and distancing will be required; singing with masks will continue. At this point in time, registration will not be required.
Our maximum capacity remains at 50 to 60 people. Every parishioner is of course free to make their own choice based on their individual comfort level about returning or continuing to watch the zoom service from home. The safety, health, and wellbeing of everyone is and always will be our top priority.
My thanks to all of you for remaining vigilant during this most recent wave of the pandemic and for your ongoing prayers for the world and for our life as a congregation. My particular thanks to those who have been helping with a zoom service since we go to the zoom, Nancy, Susan, Adeline and Kara and all of you who have been helping with reading and response thank you all. Thank you to all of you who continue to generously support St. Andrew’s with your time, talent, treasure and your prayers. It is all greatly appreciated. As we re-open for in-person services again, I look forward to seeing those of you who feel they are able to worship in the church Sunday mornings and equally look forward to being with those who are joining us “in spirit” through the continued on line service.
If any of you are involved in specific Sunday ministries, I would be most grateful if you would please proceed accordingly with your plans to commence ministries begins on Feb 20,2022, or be in touch with your ministry coordinators. Thank you.
May the blessings of God lead us, to journey together to Fish for People.

Strangers No Longer – Black Anglicans Black History Month Service
Sunday, February 27 at 2:00 pm MST
Black Anglicans of Canada was established in 2018 to carry on the mission of Jesus towards equitable representation, participation, belongingness and empowerment of Black people within the Anglican Church of Canada. This year we will be hosting a Black History Service to celebrate Black presence in Anglican churches across Canada. This will be the first time Black Anglicans will be gathering virtually from across Canada for this service which will be aired at 4:00 p.m. EST on Sunday, February 27th on YouTube. The Annual Celebration of the Black Heritage of Our Church began in the Diocese of Toronto, 26 years ago and was inspired by the late Dr. Romney Moseley, whose life and witness we will remember this year, the 30th anniversary of his death.
As our work has extended for the benefit of the entire Anglican Church of Canada, we are inviting support from all Dioceses for this year’s Black History Month celebration.

Calgary Alliance for the Common Good
Hamper delivery volunteers wanted: At the start of the pandemic we responded to the food insecurity it created by having our members volunteer to deliver food hampers to people in need. The Calgary Food Bank has now taken on this role, by starting their own in-house Hamper Delivery Project. The Calgary Food Bank would like to increase the number of hamper delivery volunteers in the effort to work toward meeting demand. If you want to reach out to the Calgary Food Bank about joining the project, please reach out to Laura Harrisson or Michelle Vetland.

St. Edmund’s Food Bank Appeal
We are once again appealing for help with stocking our Food Bank shelves. The Food Bank is open Monday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 for dropping off donations, or you can call Marilyn (our Food Bank Coordinator) at 403-288-6330 to arrange a time for drop-off outside of those hours (please leave a message and she will call you back). If you would like more information about our Food Bank and how you can help, please email us. Thank you for your support!
