Church Re-Roofing Project
Friends,
Due to the age and condition of the roof area over the church addition and issue with leaks, we have undertaken to arrange for a contractor to replace the shingles and valley membranes this year. A bid package has gone out to potential contractors.
We would like to schedule the work as soon as possible this summer. As such, we will bring a motion for approval to a Special Parish Meeting to be held on Sun, June 27, and we are working towards diocesan approval. With the estimated cost for this work as roughly $20,000, and roughly $10,000 already in our building fund, we also need to raise additional funds before the work can proceed.
Please consider a donation (for a tax credit, as always!) designated to our building fund, as you are able. This will allow the work to proceed on a timely basis, and benefit the longevity of the building.
Many thanks… Executive team (Dave, Dick, Pat, Tom and Christine)

Opportunity for discussion: Indigenous Relations
Much has come to our consciousness recently regarding our historical relationship with indigenous peoples. We will take some time on Wednesday evenings (7:00pm – July 7 & 14) to process and discuss. Along with being guided by the Anglican video about the Doctrine of Discovery , we will consider the TRC and its recommendations. Please don’t hesitate to contact Christine with any questions or concerns. Click here for the Zoom link (Mtg ID:821 5004 6676; Password: 1611).

The Episcopal Church in Jerusalem
Please take a moment to read the attached letter from the Archbishop of the Diocese of Jerusalem. While calling for a cease fire on both sides of the Gaza conflict, he also highlights the need for support of the Al Ahli Hospital in the area that is working hard to tend to all those injured and traumatized by the conflict. St. Edmund’s Food Bank Appeal
We are once again appealing for help with stocking our Food Bank shelves. We currently find that we are running short on canned goods – especially canned meats (tuna, salmon, ham, etc), vegetables, soups, beans, etc. as well as cereals, snack foods for kids, and jams. The Food Bank is open Monday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 for dropping off donations, or you can call Marilyn (our Food Bank Coordinator) at 403-288-6330 to arrange a time for drop-off outside of those hours (please leave a message and she will call you back). If you would like more information about our Food Bank and how you can help, please email us. Thank you for your support!
