The Licensed Lay Ministry Program & The Calgary School for Mission and Ministry Ministries—Diocese of Calgary
Have you been wondering how to use your God-given ministry gifts to lead others in worship in your home Parish?
The Diocese of Calgary is launching a new initiative to strengthen and equip lay leaders like you: the Licensed Lay Ministry Program. There will be three areas of training and licensing: License A: Leading Public Worship in Morning and Evening Prayer License
B: Administering Reserved Sacrament to the Public (and, with permission of the Bishop, at parish services) License
C: Preaching in Public Worship.
For more information go to: http://www.calgary.anglican.ca/ministries/the-licensed-lay-ministry-program
Brentwood Care Services have resumed. These short services comprised of hymns, readings and prayers take place every 3rd Wednesday of each month at 2 pm and are much valued by the attending residents. We are always looking for more volunteers to help with the services. The next service is October 16. If you would like to join our small group, please see Susan Chivers or Vicki Michkofsky.
Finance Update
As of the end of July, our year-to-date deficit of $22,641 is higher than budgeted. We always see a dip through the summer though St. Andrew’s operations continue. Your continued support is needed and appreciated. Thanks.

A big thanks to Patrick Carmichael, President of the Board for being such a good friend to St. Andrew’s! If you do receive a ticket, please let Christine know, so we can work out any kinks in the system.
Driver(s) Wanted! We have a few parishioners living at Chartwell Colonel Belcher who need a ride to come to church. It is only a 5 minute drive from church and you need space for a walker. Please let Christine know if you are willing to help fill this pastoral need.
